From the Athletic Director’s Desk

Dear BAIS Community,

It is with much excitement that we anticipate the 2017 IISSAC Basketball Tournament at Wesley School in Malang! We will be flying out of Bandung to Surabaya and making our way into Malang via bus next week Thursday.

Although this basketball season has had its share of injuries, it has been a joy to see the tremendous effort being put forth by our BAIS’thlete and their coaches. Together, they have overcome injuries and hard losses. They have cheered each other on and have helped each other grow both on and off the court.

Please keep us in your prayers for traveling mercies, a fun time free of injuries, and another championship win for the BAIS Eagles.

GO BAIS!

Most importantly, pray that we may honor and glorify God through awesome sportsmanship and Christlike behavior.

As you may have heard, due to unforeseen circumstances BALI is unable to host Badminton and Cross Country along with Swim this year. Mountainview stepped up to host these two sports in a separate event taking place the weekend of April 7th in Salatiga.

Our Badminton and Cross Country BAIS’thletes are elated to have their own IISSAC Invitational. Let’s cheer them on as they begin the team building process and venture out on a new season!

I am also excited to introduce two new activities for season 3. The “Oh, Yarn it!” Club is being introduced along with a post-soccer season conditioning program for our soccer BAIS’thletes.

Kindly refer to our announcements below for more information.

To conclude, please accept my appreciation for the support that you have shown to our BAIS’thletes throughout the school year thus far.

Ms. Linnette Vasquez
Athletic & Activities Director
