My family and I were thrilled to join BAIS in 2014, and continue to appreciate the vibrant team and growing community. Prior to becoming director at BAIS, I have held teaching and administrative positions in K-12 schools in the United States, Papua New Guinea, and South Korea. After graduating from Wheaton College, I worked in the banking and finance industry for two years before entering the field of education and pursuing my M. Ed. Degree from Nova Southeastern University. My wife, Kristen, and I have been married since 1995 and our two daughters are attending BAIS as well. We consider it a privilege to be a part of a school committed to providing a quality college preparatory education that strives to have students grow into global citizens, embrace life-long learning, and be grounded in the truth of God’s Word.

It is my pleasure to be serving here at BAIS. Before joining the team here, I served at one of our sister schools in Kenya for four years with my family. My family and I used to consider Kenya our home. However, now that we have served here since 2012, we consider Indonesia home. Prior to joining NICS, I served as a Humanitarian worker in Kenya, on the board of a school in the United States, and I worked in the automotive industry for over 14 years. I have been a soccer coach for over a decade and I currently coach the BAIS Guys Soccer team. I look forward to continuing to serve the BAIS community and to follow God’s call wherever He leads.

Elementary Principal / Curriculum Director
I began teaching at BAIS in August 2002 as a 5th grade teacher. Originally I planned to stay for 4 years and then see what new country God would bring me too. Little did I know that I would stay in Bandung, become the elementary principal, and eventually marry a wonderful Indonesian believer. Indonesian has truly become my home, and this school has become my family. I have been blessed to see children start as little Kindergarten and 1st grades and watch them grow and develop into young men and women graduating and heading out to start their own dreams, families, and careers. I have been blessed to both work and live alongside these wonderful teachers, students, and families that make up the BAIS community.
Been with BAIS since 2002.
I arrived at BAIS in 2016 and am excited to teach in this unique, joyful, growing, and excellent community. My wife and I have four children. I was previously the Assistant Principal and IB DP Coordinator at Gyeonggi Suwon International School in Suwon, South Korea and continues working toward my Ed. D from Bethel University.
