It is my sincere honor to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year at BAIS. The past few years have been difficult ones as we have all dealt with the ramifications of the global pandemic, but it excites me as we look forward to what God has for our school, for our children, and for our community in the coming year. I am proud of our efforts to strengthen and improve our facilities and educational programs as we prepare our children for their lives today, university tomorrow, and their futures as leaders around the globe. Opening its doors in 1956, BAIS has a long history in Bandung providing an excellent, high-quality, Christian education. We look forward to continuing to build on that tradition.
At BAIS, we take pride in the active involvement of our school community and are thankful for those who help to organize memorable events. As we look to the new year, we invite you, Parents, to be involved in Parents Active in Children’s Education (PACE), which is designed specifically for you. Students, consider your interests and get involved in the numerous activities we have available. Your involvement and use of your many gifts and talents truly enhances the experience for our entire school community.
I am humbled that you would choose BAIS for your children’s education. As a school committed to providing high quality, college preparatory education, we look forward to meeting your needs and seeing our children become servant-leaders, global citizens, and life-long learners grounded in the truth of God’s Holy Word.
Moving Forward,
Travis Julian,
Head of School
The purpose and objectives of the DAC below are established by the NICS School Board. The NICS School Board is the official school board for BAIS. Purpose: The DAC shall provide the Director with a means by which to seek local qualified and appropriately recognized counsel as necessary to accomplish the mission and goals of the school.
Parents may always individually schedule an appointment through the front office secretary to meet with Mr. Julian, Interim Head of School. Traditionally, the Director also met with parents four times a year (once per quarter) for a “Dialogue”. The Director would come with a few pieces of information and/or policy to discuss and answer questions, and then be available to answer questions and dialogue with you about your thoughts or concerns. After a long hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, we are excited to offer these Dialogues again. Please come to the Dialogues and we’ll do our best to translate for the different languages.
