From the Government Liaison
Time flies, holidays have passed us, and now we are in the second semester! The presence of students back on campus learning, laughing, giggling, and singing permeate the school. It’s a joy to participate in helping our kids grow spiritually, emotionally, academically, and socially everyday, especially during these interesting years of “fundemic.” We hope and pray that all of us are always able to collaborate in putting the
right and safe needs of our students first.
One of the ways we can serve you better is equipping you with information that helps you plan accordingly:
If your son or daughter is going to turn 18 years old soon, their current Visa/E-Kitas (dependent) will switch to a Student Visa. It is wise to coordinate with your visa agent/sponsor to prepare the transition three or even four months before your child’s current KITAS expires. The school will provide cover letters and your agent can contact us anytime. The fees for this visa are a personal expense.
Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal (SKTT)
The SKTT is a Civil Registry-issued domicile certificate and is mandatory for foreigners recently arriving in Indonesia who will hold a semipermanent resident visa (e-KITAS). The document is issued by the Civil & Population Department (Dinas Kependudukan) for the province that you live in. When you extend your KITAS at the Immigration office, a
copy of the SKTT will be required. Also, with the recent movement for the need to get you and your child vaccinated, you will need the Nomor Induk Kependudukan (NIK) in the certificate. This is a single identity number that will allow you to apply for vaccinations in Indonesia. Similarly, if you are going to be receiving a booster, you will also need the NIK number. If you don’t know or don’t have this document yet for you or your family, contact your visa agent/sponsor/Yayasan/company to ask for a copy and/or apply for the SKTT.
I wish you and your children well. Don’t miss the Friday song before you hit the weekend. God bless you all.
