From the BAIS CFO’s Desk
Dear BAIS Community,
It is my pleasure to be able to join the BAIS Community again this school year. My family and I just returned from being in the States for a year. During that time, I had the opportunity to serve in a similar role at another Christian school. Since I was new at the school, I noticed areas around the campus that had room for improvement.
This reminds me of when I first arrived at BAIS in 2012. While I was new to the school and the campus, I noticed areas where there was room for improvement. For example, the temporary metal
fencing used to barricade students from entering the back half of the complex was also blocking the beautiful view that we now enjoy. Or the blue security walls that were white and showing
years of rust and rain stains on them. My point is, I was a set of fresh eyes then.
One of our goals at BAIS this year is to make certain we have the opportunity to hear from our parents more. I will be contacting parents of new students within the next week to set up a time
when they can be our “fresh eyes” around the campus. I hope you will be able to spend some time walking around the campus and then enjoy coffee or tea with me afterwards. I look forward to
getting to know our new parents better.
Mr. Mark Boccaccio

SAT TEST UPDATE
Dear Parents of 12th graders, 11th graders, and 10th graders,
I write to give you an update about the October SAT. At this time, BAIS registrations (number of open seats) are full. BAIS is working with College Board to increase the number of seats on offer. For now, if your student would like to register, please sign up on the waiting list. I will update you as soon as possible.
Also, Elite Educational Institute in Bandung would like to offer an SAT Diagnostic Test at BAIS in September. It is a 4+ hour assessment so it does take some time. The target audience for this is 10th graders but 11th and 12th grade students are welcomed to attend. BAIS would like to host this on a Saturday in September from 9:00am‐ 12:00noon. There is no cost to attend but we need to have a minimum of about 15 students for Elite to come and deliver the test. Please let me know if you have a specific date of preference. Campus is closed September 16 for the staff retreat but other Saturdays are possible.
Thanks for your continued partnership and support. Please don’t hesitate to call, email, or set up an appointment if you have questions, concerns, or suggestions.
