From the Director

Accreditation is a process by which schools verify the quality of their educational program. BAIS is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). These two organizations monitor continued school improvement. While the school was granted a six-year accreditation term in 2018, we are still required to submit annual reports and complete a mid-term evaluation. The school’s mid-term evaluation will be in April, 2021.

The school’s Continuous School Improvement Plan (CSIP) is one way ACSI and WASC ensure we are growing and improving. When granted the six-year term, we were also charged with improving in six key areas:

  1. Implementation of the RTI program
  2. CSIP Planning and Processes
  3. Systematic Analysis of Assessment Data
  4. Assessing Spiritual Formation of Students
  5. Enrollment
  6. Capital Projects

Over the past three years, the school has accomplished many of the goals within the CSIP. However, some of the goals and deadlines had to be postponed due to myriad Covid-related causes. Even with some delays, though, the school can be proud of completing all areas of improvement outlined in the RTI program, increasing public awareness of the CSIP, adopting the Global Student Assessment to assess spiritual formation of students, the execution of a strategic marketing campaign, and further progress toward capital projects including blueprints of a possible fine arts center on campus.

Striving for continued excellence and improvement,

“Thank you” from the Marketing Team

Dear Community,

We want to thank you so much for giving our school a positive review these past few weeks on Google; it has definitely boosted the BAIS name on Google Maps.
We had a successful virtual open House for elementary and secondary. Thank you to our secondary students who helped with the virtual tour of our campus; they were fabulous!

Please share these videos with your family and friends and show them how amazing our school is, and if they are interested in joining our community please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

Thank you and Happy Chinese New Year!

WWW & SEW

Every year BAIS sets aside a week in November for SEW (Spiritual Emphasis Week) and a week in March for WWW (Week Without Walls). These are more than just events on the school calendar; they are unique opportunities for students to grow in their relationship with God and to cultivate a heart for serving others in our student body.

Although we are not able to worship together as a group or go out and serve our community physically this year, we feel it is very important to provide the opportunities for growth and service for our students. We are dedicating one day for SEW on Friday March 19th and a couple of weeks for a Virtual WWW Serve-a-Thon. We will have a celebration for SEW/WWW on Thursday, March 18th.

During our WWW, we will raise money through a Servathon to support two local organizations that have tremendous needs in this time of COVID. Those organizations are Rumah Cinta Ambu, which is a home that provides care and housing for families fighting cancer, and Panti Jompo Senjarawi, which provides care and housing for the elderly. These are two tremendous organizations that we have worked with for years in our WWW outreach.

We are excited for these opportunities and will be sending more detailed information next week.
