The BAIS boys’ varsity played their first game against St. Angela on Nov. 24. They won convincingly, 57-24. All eight players saw lots of playing time, as they built a significant lead by the second quarter. Matt M. led the way with 15 points and 6 rebounds, followed by Won Jin with 13 points, Yoon Seong with 8 points, and Terry with 6 points. This was a great team effort in their first game of the season.
The JV had its first game against St. Angela also on Nov. 24. It was a nail bitter of a game. At the end of the first quarter we were up 6 to 4. St. Angela had one last attempt but our defense proved unbreakable. We won by 2, the final score was 27-25. Paul Ha had 18 points. Luke Walker led the team in assists. Steven led the team in steals and had 4 points. Luke Marshal figured out how to pass the ball past St. Angela’s press. The boys did great and I’m really proud that they never gave up even though they were down by around 8 points at the half.
