Parent-teacher Conferences / Student-led Conferences

It is that time of year once again! On April 8th and 9th, BAIS teachers will host the second round of parent-teacher conferences / student-led conferences!

Elementary Specific Information:

Traditionally, these conferences are student-led. Students would present what they’ve been working on in their classes and highlight special projects related to their ESO portfolios. This semester, due to the difficulty presented by online schooling and irregularities of in-person learning, this session of conferences will be held similarly to those from the first semester, and will not be entirely student-led. Although teachers will lead the meetings, elementary students are invited to join their parents. This way, they can speak to some of the important gains they’ve made so far this school year. Our students have done an incredible job of growing in their skills as readers, writers, and problem solvers. Similar to last semester, if you prefer to meet with your child’s teacher via an online platform instead of face-to-face, please arrange this with them individually.

Secondary Specific Information:

Grades 6-12 will have traditional student-led conferences where families can gather and celebrate all that has been accomplished so far this year. However, the timing of the conferences will be staggered. Although attendance is not mandatory, the school strongly recommends every family attend student-led conference on campus with their student. If you would like to visit a specific teacher during conference days, please email the teacher directly to set up an appointment.

Thursday, April 8 (3PM – 7PM)
  • 3:00-4:30: Grades 6-8
  • 4:30-5:30: Grades 9-10
  • 5:30-7:00: Grades 11-12
Friday, April 9 (8AM – 12PM)
  • 8:00-9:30: Grades 11-12
  • 9:30-10:30: Grades 6-8
  • 10:30-12:00: Grades 9-10

There will be no extended day (9th period) classes on Thursday, April 8.

BAIS looks forward to celebrating the growth, learning, and many achievements of our students so far this year!
