What is IISSAC?
The Indonesian International Small School Athletic Conference (IISSAC) is comprised of six member schools: Bandung Alliance Intercultural School (BAIS), Bali Island School (BIS), Bandung Independent School (BIS), Mountainview Christian School (MCS), Surabaya Intercultural School (SIS), and Wesley School (WS). Through IISSAC, students have the opportunity to travel across Indonesia, participating in tournaments, exchanges, and competitions hosted by these member schools.
History of IISSAC
Established in 2004, IISSAC was created to foster interaction and camaraderie among international schools in Indonesia through friendly competition and character-building activities. Open to all international schools in Indonesia with a K-12 enrollment of fewer than 350 students, IISSAC provides a unique platform for students to develop both their athletic abilities and interpersonal skills.
Participating in IISSAC offers students unparalleled opportunities to grow both on and off the field. The conference not only enriches students’ extracurricular experiences but also provides a valuable professional network for leadership, faculty, and staff to enhance their knowledge and skills. IISSAC stands out as a one-of-a-kind event in Indonesia, bringing together students from various schools across the country for meaningful competition and camaraderie.
IISSAC Events and Competitions
Each year, the six IISSAC schools take turns hosting various events. Students dedicate weeks and months to practicing, preparing, and training for these competitions. For many, representing BAIS at IISSAC is the pinnacle of their extracurricular involvement, offering memorable experiences and opportunities to showcase their talents.
