From the BAIS Chaplain’s Desk

Dear BAIS Community,

This year at BAIS our theme is GROWING TOGETHER and it is based out of John 15:5 where Jesus said, “I am the Vine and you are the branches. ABIDE in Me and you will bear much fruit; but apart from Me, you can do nothing.”

The call to ABIDE is not an easy call when so many things in this world seek to demand our time and attention. If we are not careful, we can very quickly go from ABIDING in Jesus to trusting in our abilities, which never turns out well. I love the fact that Jesus said “you are the branches” and He let us know that He put people in our lives to encourage us and to be encouraged by us.

The idea of GROWING TOGETHER truly speaks to the idea of partnership. I have always believed that the two greatest influences of a child’s academic and spiritual learning are their parents and teachers. When students see a positive parent-teacher partnership it helps them have a positive mindset about school and to become successful in school.

In my short time serving as the chaplain of BAIS, I have grown to love the fact that this community understands what it means to ABIDE TOGETHER. We love, help, encourage, strengthen, and challenge one another. I pray that we are all able to realize what a gift it is to be a part of such a community and that this 2017-2018 school year will be successful as we continue to GROW TOGETHER.

Abide together,
Mr. Jason Whitehurst
BAIS Chaplain

SAT TEST

We are excited to be hosting the SAT test on Saturday, October 7, 2017. We will have over 60 test takers on the BAIS campus during the testing period. This is the largest group we have had sit for an SAT test to date. Therefore, we have decided that it is best for the integrity of the test and for the students taking the test to have a quiet campus.

Only test takers and teachers will be allowed on campus during the testing period. Families and students may begin to use the campus after 2:00 p.m. Please note this closure is for the entire campus. This is a great opportunity for outside students and families to see our beautiful campus. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Mr. Jeremy Thomas
Secondary Principal
